Data Deletion Requests

Use these instructions to ask Hosted by Howell to delete or de-identify personal information associated with our website inquiries or Meta messaging integration.

Request Details

Effective date: October 1, 2026

What This Covers

This process applies to personal information held by Hosted by Howell through our website inquiry systems and our current Facebook Messenger and Instagram messaging intake integration.

It does not control information separately retained by Meta, Facebook, Instagram, your mobile carrier, or another third-party service. Those providers have their own privacy and deletion tools.

How To Request Deletion

Email hostedbyhowell@gmail.com with the subject Meta Data Deletion Request.

Include enough information for us to locate the relevant records, such as:

  • Whether the request concerns Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or a Hosted by Howell website inquiry.
  • The username, profile link, email address, phone number, or other identifier you used when contacting us.
  • An approximate date or date range for the interaction.

Do not send a Facebook password, Instagram password, access token, app secret, or other authentication credential.

What Happens Next

We may ask for additional information if reasonably necessary to verify the request and locate the applicable records. We will then delete or de-identify personal information that we are required or reasonably able to remove.

Some information may need to be retained when reasonably necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud or abuse prevention, dispute resolution, completed transaction records, or other legitimate business recordkeeping. When information must be retained, we will limit its use to those purposes.

Meta Messaging Records

Our permanent Meta transport and audit records do not contain raw message text or message attachments. They contain limited routing and security metadata plus one-way hashes used for deduplication and auditing.

When the messaging intake workflow is enabled, a separate private staging layer may temporarily contain normalized message text and basic attachment-type metadata. That staging copy is designed to expire after a short retention period, normally 7 days and never more than 30 days in that staging layer. It does not store attachment files or attachment URLs.

A deletion request to Hosted by Howell does not automatically delete the copy of a conversation or account information held by Facebook, Instagram, or Meta. Use Meta's own privacy and account tools for information held by Meta.
